Our History  

Our founders set out to create a unique public accounting firm in the Central Virginia area specializing in serving closely-held and emerging businesses. Times have changed since our firm began in 1978, but our vision has not.

Our firm was built on providing the highest level of client service.

That same approach is still reflected in our present mission of excellence: to provide quality, innovative service to our clients. It is the cornerstone upon which the firm is built.

Today

Today our team is over 100 people strong making Keiter Stephens the 12th largest accounting firm in Virginia with offices in Richmond and Charlottesville. We are enthusiastic about providing high quality service and a meaningful work experience.

At Keiter Stephens, we share liberally of our time and resources to help build a stronger community. We are actively involved in numerous civic organizations around central Virginia. Our principals and team members serve as volunteers and in leadership roles for many worthy organizations.
