Scott has more than 11 years of internal audit
and accounting experience, providing risk management and internal
audit services for major utility, manufacturing, financial
services, retail, and government contracting clients has led
Scott to perform business process reviews, risk analysis,
and to make recommendations for improving financial, operational,
or compliance procedures.
Scott has assisted numerous public registrants
with their Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities including
creating pilot programs, developing templates, providing
employee and management training, and coordinating Sarbanes-Oxley
activities.
His vast knowledge of file interrogation
tools, using state-of-the-art internal audit technology,
has enabled him to identify internal control exceptions
within a population, such as duplicate records, missing
data, and other data anomalies. He is also highly experienced
with use of flowcharting software. Prior to joining Keiter Stephens, Scott
was with Deloitte & Touche, LLP.
In the 2006-2007 surveys conducted by Virginia Business magazine, Scott was named one of Virginia's Super CPAs.
