History
Founders
Keiter, Stephens, Hurst, Gary & Shreaves, P.C. was founded over 29 years ago in Richmond, Virginia. The entrepreneurial spirit of the founders led them to open the doors of the firm on December 1, 1978, to serve closely-held businesses and their owners.
Essentially, Keiter Stephens is a firm of entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs.
History
The first Keiter Stephens office was located in downtown Richmond, Virginia and moved to the Innsbrook Corporate Center in 1986. The firm expanded into the Charlottesville market in 2004 by opening an office to better serve our clients in that area.
In 2006 we merged our Charlottesville practice with the practice of Robert L. Tobey and Company.
Today
We have built a cohesive team that serves creative organizations seeking growth and change. We currently have 18 principals and a total of 120 client service professionals and support staff to assist our clients, making us one of the largest independent CPA firms in Virginia.
