Each month we recognize a staff member who has shown outstanding performance by going the extra mile to complete a task or has exceeded a clients’ expectations. Nominations are open to all members of the firm. The employee of the month receives special recognition in a staff meeting and a nice gift certificate to celebrate their hard work.

This person is a senior manager in our tax group and handles some of the most tax-complicated clients that we have. For most of this month and the month of July, she has been doing a great job managing the tax compliance engagement of Cavalier Telephone. This engagement will produce fees to the firm of approximately $147,000. The management of this engagement is very complex because we are having to use a number of people in the tax department to get the job done. This person is very good at training staff and pushing down work to the lower staff.

In addition to managing Cavalier, she is also managing LOTS of other projects....

She is great - we often use the term "a true asset to the firm" – but she really lives this ideal.... I don't know what I'd do without her!

In addition to her great work now, she really went over and above in April - post April 15 to help get the Cavalier tax accrual done. Many nights to midnight - after tax season - and all with a smile.
