For an accelerated filer with limited resources, KS served as the SOX 404 project leader. Our responsibilities
included creating the pilot program, developing SOX templates, identifying
the significant accounts and business processes, developing and
coordinating project schedules and timelines, leading the documentation
and testing activities, and evaluating and remediating internal
control deficiencies.
While assisting
a public registrant with its SOX
documentation efforts, we provided recommendations to eliminate
redundant controls, strengthen segregation of duties, and develop efficient methods for documenting key controls, all
of which resulted in reduction of implementation costs and efforts.
